Video Management
Upload, import, organize, and manage your shoppable video library in ReelPlus
Introduction to Your Video Library
The Video Library is the central hub for all your video content in ReelPlus. From here you can upload new videos, import from social media platforms, tag products, manage metadata, and control which videos are published to your storefront.
Every widget you create in ReelPlus pulls its content from the video library. A well-organized library with properly tagged, high-quality videos is the foundation of a successful shoppable video strategy.

Supported Video Formats
ReelPlus supports the most common video formats used across social media and professional video production:
| Format | Extension | Description |
|---|---|---|
| MP4 | .mp4 | The most widely supported format. Recommended for best compatibility. |
| MOV | .mov | Apple QuickTime format. Common from iPhone recordings. |
| WebM | .webm | Open web format. Excellent compression and quality. |
Recommendation: MP4 with H.264 encoding provides the best balance of quality, file size, and compatibility across all devices and browsers.
Video Processing Pipeline
When you upload or import a video, it goes through an automated processing pipeline to ensure optimal delivery to your storefront:
Upload / Import
↓
[1] Ingestion — Video received and queued
↓
[2] Compression — Optimized versions created for web delivery
↓
[3] Thumbnail Extraction — Auto-generated preview image
↓
[4] Mini Version — 30-second preview clip generated
↓
[5] Ready — Video available for use in widgetsWhat Happens at Each Stage
| Stage | Duration | What Happens |
|---|---|---|
| Ingestion | Instant | The video file is received and stored securely |
| Compression | 30s - 5min | Multiple quality levels are generated for adaptive streaming |
| Thumbnail | ~10s | A representative frame is extracted as the preview image |
| Mini Version | ~30s | A 30-second preview clip is created for carousel thumbnails |
| Ready | -- | The video is fully processed and available for widgets |
Processing Time: Most videos complete processing within 1-5 minutes depending on length and resolution. Very long videos (30+ minutes) may take longer. Do not delete a video while it is processing.
Video States
Each video in your library has a processing status that indicates its current stage:
| Status | Icon | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Processing | Spinner | Video is being compressed and optimized |
| Completed | Green check | All processing finished successfully; video is ready to use |
| Failed | Red alert | Processing encountered an error; retry or re-upload |
Handling Failed Videos
If a video fails processing:
- Check that the original file is a supported format (MP4, MOV, WebM)
- Ensure the file is not corrupted
- Try re-uploading the video
- If the issue persists, contact support with the video details
Publish Status
Beyond processing status, each video also has a publish status that controls visibility:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Draft | Video is not visible on your storefront. Use this while preparing content. |
| Published | Video is live and will appear in any widget where it is included or tagged. |
Workflow Tip: Upload and tag your videos as drafts first. Once you have reviewed everything and are satisfied, publish them all at once for a coordinated launch.
Video Limits by Plan
Your ReelPlus plan determines how many videos you can store and how many monthly video views are included:
| Feature | Free | Starter | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total Videos | 50 | 250 | Unlimited |
| Monthly Views | 500 | 5,000 | Unlimited |
| Max File Size | 50 MB | 100 MB | 200 MB |
| Max Duration | 5 min | 15 min | 60 min |
| Import Sources | All sources | All sources | All sources |
| Video Quality | Medium | High | Original |
Approaching Limits: ReelPlus will notify you when you reach 80% of your video or view limits. Upgrade your plan to continue uploading and serving videos without interruption.
Video Quality Options
ReelPlus processes videos into multiple quality levels to balance visual fidelity and loading performance:
| Quality Level | Resolution | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Low | 480p | Slow connections, bandwidth-sensitive markets |
| Medium | 720p | General use, mobile devices |
| High | 1080p | Desktop viewing, high-quality product showcases |
| Original | Source resolution | Maximum quality, Enterprise plan only |
The widget automatically selects the appropriate quality based on the viewer's device and connection speed. This ensures fast loading on mobile while maintaining crisp visuals on desktop.
Mini Versions (30-Second Previews)
For every uploaded video, ReelPlus automatically generates a mini version -- a 30-second preview clip. These mini versions serve as lightweight previews in carousel and story widgets:
How Mini Versions Work
- Auto-generated: Created automatically during processing; no action required
- 30-second duration: The first 30 seconds of your video are used
- Optimized size: Significantly smaller file size than the full video
- Used in carousels: Carousel thumbnails play the mini version on hover or autoplay
- Full video on click: When a customer clicks, the full-length video opens in the modal player
Benefits
| Benefit | Description |
|---|---|
| Faster page loads | Mini versions load quickly, keeping your storefront fast |
| Bandwidth savings | Customers only download the full video when they choose to watch |
| Better engagement | Preview clips hook viewers and encourage clicks |
| Automatic | No manual editing needed; ReelPlus handles it |
Tip: Front-load your most compelling content in the first 30 seconds of each video. This is what customers will see in the carousel preview before deciding to watch the full video.
